How do I subscribe to the digest form of a listserv?

Lists Types
  • Open Lists: Anyone can subscribe. Archives are world viewable. Any member can post - no approval necessary.
  • Stakeholder Category Lists (SHC Lists): Listserv is designed for communication between SHC members and their delegate. Subscription requires approval. Archives are world viewable. 
  • Inactive Lists: Archives are preserved, but there are no new subscriptions or posts.
  • Private Lists: Subscription requires approval. Archives viewable only to members. Any member can post.
  • Restricted Lists: Anyone can subscribe. Archives are world viewable. Need one-time approval for posting privileges.

How do I change my listserv password?
  • To change your listserv password, visit, click the listserv name, enter you email address next to the “Unsubscribe or edit options” button, then click the “Unsubscribe or edit options” button, then click the Remind” button. 
How do I change my password if I was subscribed to a closed list?
  • If you were added to a closed list, to find your password, you will have to reference to your “Welcome to this listserv” email to see which password was assigned to you. You can change this password by visiting, clicking the list, entering your email, then clicking the “Unsubscribe or edit options” button.

How do I unsubscribe from a list?

  • Using the web interface:
  1. Click the listserv name on visit
  2. Enter your email address beside the button marked "Unsubscribe or Edit Options" then press the button.
  3. You should be brought to a new page which has an "Unsubscribe" button. Press it to unsubscribe and follow the instructions given.
  • Using the email interface:
  1. Open a mail program which sends mail from the address you want to unsubscribe.
  2. Send a mail to the list unsubscribe address, which will be of the form LISTNAME-leave@DOMAIN. The subject and body of this message will be ignored, so it doesn't matter what you put there.

How do I download attachments from the archives? 

  1. To download mailman attachments from the archives, do the following:
  2. Find the message in the archives. All archives are linked to at the bottom of this page:
  3. Find the individual message in the archives, it will be its own .html page.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the message, where you see the text for the message's attachments (if it had any). 
  5. Right click the url and select “save as” and rename with its correct file extention instead of .bin. The correct file extension is at the end of the "Name:" line.
