Sudhi Umarji - Managing Secretary
Sudhi is an enterprise architect with more than 25 years of Federal and commercial experience. He is the founder of Trusted Federal Systems, Inc., and previously held senior management, consulting, and technical positions at Hewlett Packard Company, Honeywell, British Telecom and ITT. His accomplishments include developing—and leading the development of—enterprise architectures for organizations such as the U.S. Department of Justice, AT&T, Verizon, and British Telecom. With his expertise in business management, federal requirements, and Information Technology disciplines, he has developed technical and business solutions to tackle numerous organizational and agency problems. He has a diversity of technical and industry experience related to service-oriented architecture (SOA) and specializes in distributed computing solutions based on industry standards.
Sudhi has ensured that systems are compatible and in compliance with standards and frameworks for open systems architectures, as defined by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS), Liberty Alliance, the Web Services Interoperability Organization (WS-I), the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), the Global Justice XML Data Model (GJXDM), and the National Information Exchange Model (NIEM). He has systematically analyzed problems of workflow and organization and has developed appropriate corrective action. He holds two U.S. patents (4058672 and 4058838) for packet switching/facsimile communications.
Sudhi has been recognized for his ability to work in an integrated and collaborative fashion with other agencies, components, departments, contractors as required, whether providing the leadership or led by another contractor under a separate contract vehicle. Sudhi is a long time member of the IJIS Institute where he has served on the Board of Directors and also as Chair of the Audit Committee. He represents industry as the Vice-Chair of the Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) Advisory Committee and has been a consultant to the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of The Chief Information Officer.
